Draft. This page is a working draft for the preview build and must be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

Who we are

Social Engine is operated by [Company legal name], [Registered address]. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This policy is written to meet the requirements of the EU and UK GDPR and Canada's PIPEDA. Privacy contact: support@socialengine.cc.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and name.
  • Order details: the public links you submit, the services, tiers and quantities you order, and each order's status and history.
  • Wallet and ledger records: deposits, bonus credits, spending, refunds and refills on your account. Card and crypto payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Support messages: emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
  • Chatbot conversations: when our AI assistant is available (coming soon), the messages you exchange with it.
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser and device information, and request logs, used for security and to fix problems.
  • Product analytics: how pages and features are used, if you allow analytics cookies.

We never ask for or collect your social media passwords.

How we use it

  • To create and run your account and sign you in.
  • To deliver orders to the links you submit, show order progress, and process refills, cancellations and refunds.
  • To keep an accurate wallet balance, apply deposit bonuses and loyalty benefits, and handle chargebacks.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To protect the site from bots, fraud and abuse.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it, where you have allowed analytics.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Contract: running your account, wallet and orders.
  • Legal obligation: keeping financial and transaction records.
  • Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, bot protection and technical logs.
  • Consent: non-essential cookies and product analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the store, under contracts that limit how they use it:

  • Payment providers (a crypto payment gateway and a card processor) to process deposits.
  • Delivery suppliers, who receive the public link and order details needed to deliver your order.
  • Cloudflare, for Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection.
  • Hosting, email and analytics providers that store data or send messages on our behalf.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

The full list of providers is [List of processors, to be completed before launch].

How long we keep it

We keep account and order data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except records we must keep by law (such as wallet and ledger records), which we keep for [Retention period for financial records]. Technical logs are kept for [Log retention period].

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you, and export it in a portable format.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent you have given.
  • Complain to your data protection authority.

You can export your data and delete your account yourself. For anything else, email support@socialengine.cc from the address on your account.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep the site secure. Non-essential cookies, including product analytics, are declined by default and only set if you accept them. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and bot protection to keep your data safe. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we use safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses. Primary hosting region: [Primary data hosting region].

Children

The services are not intended for anyone under [Minimum age], and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and tell you by email or on the site about material changes.
