A bio that tells people why to follow.
Add your name or brand, your niche, a tone and a call to action. You get five bio options that fit the platform's character limit, ready to copy and tweak.
Five bio options appear here.
Each one is checked against the platform's character limit. A good bio says who it's for, what they get, and what to do next.
How this works
The method, plainly.
When AI is configured, a small, fast AI model writes five options from your inputs, and we check each against the platform's character limit, trimming at a word boundary if needed. Each visitor gets a limited number of AI suggestions per hour.
Otherwise, the tool fills in our tone-specific templates with your details and runs the same length check. Platforms that show line breaks in bios get multi-line options; the rest get a single line.
A bio is the first thing a new visitor reads after your name, so it does a lot of the converting. A growing follower count can make a profile look established, but the bio and your recent posts are what persuade someone to follow.
Questions, answered.
What makes a good bio?
Three things: who it's for, what they get by following, and what to do next. Specific beats clever. "Weeknight recipes in 20 minutes" tells a visitor more than "food lover".
What character limits do you use?
Instagram and Threads 150, TikTok 80, X 160, LinkedIn headline 220, Facebook intro 101, Twitch 300, Telegram channel description 255, and a short 300 for YouTube. Platforms change limits from time to time, so check the count in the app before saving.
Should I put a call to action in my bio?
Usually, yes. One clear next step (book, shop, join, watch the latest video) works better than several. If your platform allows a link, point the call to action at it.
Is this AI generated?
When AI is available, the bios are written by a small AI model and checked against the character limit. Otherwise they come from our templates for each tone. The result says which one you got. Either way, edit them so they sound like you.
Do you store what I type?
We don't save your inputs. When AI is used, your text is sent to our AI provider to write the suggestions.
