Never stare at a blank caption again.

Describe your post, pick a platform, tone and goal. You get six different caption angles, each with a hook, a short body and a call to action.

Six caption angles appear here.

Treat them as starting points. The first line matters most, so make it specific to your post.

How this works

The method, plainly.

When AI is configured, a small, fast AI model writes six ideas with different angles for your post, tone and goal. We trim anything over a sensible length for the platform. Each visitor gets a limited number of AI suggestions per hour.

Otherwise, the tool uses our templates: common caption structures such as a mistake to avoid, myth versus fact, quick wins, a short story or a question, with a call to action matched to your goal. Ask for more ideas to get a different selection.

Captions are starting points. The ones that work best usually include a detail only you could add, like a number from your own experience or a specific example from your work.

Questions, answered.

What's the most important part of a caption?

The first line. On most platforms only the opening shows before "more", so it needs to give a reason to keep reading: a specific promise, a surprising point, or a question your audience actually has.

How long should a caption be?

As long as it needs to be useful, and no longer. Short captions suit posts where the image or video does the work. Longer captions suit tutorials, stories and posts people save. On X and Threads, the tool keeps ideas short.

Why is there a call to action in every idea?

Because people rarely act unless asked. Pick one action per post that matches your goal: comment, save, share, or click. Asking for all four at once usually gets none.

Is this AI generated?

When AI is available, the ideas are written by a small AI model. Otherwise they come from our templates of proven caption structures (mistakes, myths, quick wins, stories). The result says which one you got. Edit them into your own voice either way.

Should I add hashtags?

Optionally, and keep them few and specific. Our free hashtag generator can suggest a short set for your topic.
